Our proven plan, in practice includes building new, affordable homes;while also refurbishing older dwellings.For their property rentals,our community’s landlords are held accountable; this improves the affordability of the housing stock.
With Landlords protecting their interest in this responsible way, tenant relations improve; veracity instills trust,which in turn builds bond.
North Memphis CDC owns and provides property management for 45 affordable single family rental units. NMCDC operates these units with revenue from the rental of these properties. NMCDC rental properties are scattered in Shelby,Tipton and Lauderdale counties.
Not only has North Memphis CDC has been the developer for all our properties, NMCDC assisted Oasis in securing $1,739,175 for the development of 10 units in the Bearwater Park Apartments for which NMCDC is the developer.

Foreclosed and abandon houses are donated by Bank of America to local nonprofit's to be rehabbed and rented to a low to moderate income families.
NMCDC is assisting Oasis of Hope, Inc. in the development of Bearwater Park Apartments. Upon completion, Bearwater Park will provide 51 units of rental housing for families with low income in North Memphis.
