As of April 2012, the NMCDC has relocated our administrative office to Downtown Memphis. The NMCDC will continue to be the General Partners with April Woods Apartments and PNC Corp. We are currently working to provide the local residents with GED preparation, computer training and workforce development.  We have established our previous office space in April Woods West as the location to provide helpful services to the community residents.

Is the new location of the NMCDC.

In the Spring of 2011 NMCDC became a statewide CHDO and expended their footprint in West Tennessee. As a result we were awarded a grant for acquisition in rehab of 5 units in Shelby, Tipton, and Lauderdale Counties.

NMCDC is partnering with Uptown Green Law LLC., to develop a North of Chelsea Initiative which will include acquisitions, demos, and new construction of 10 homes around KIPP Academy.

NMCDC was awarded an NSP Grant through THDA for acquisitions, demos, and new construction of 10 homes on Caldwell Ave. and Cedar Ave. NMCDC, Trinity Coalition, & BHI are partnering to apply for a Grant for Continuum of Care to provide permanent supported housing for the chronically homeless.
