The church is working in conjunction with the North Memphis Community Development Corporation.We want to provide safe,quality, affordable housing in this community and We saw a need and we're doing what we can to address that need.

The engineering plans and final plat are complete and have been approved by City Council. We're now waiting on approval from the Office of Planning and Development on the housing plans. We have selected a construction company for the infrastructure work on the site.

Once complete Bearwater Park will contain 51 brand new single family homes and duplexes; a new park/playground in the middle of the development; a community/ministry building connected to the park; and wonderful green space/landscaping throughout. It will be a beautiful neighborhood that people will be proud to call home.

Built in 1961, the old Cedar Court Apartment complex had been a place for up to 114 families to call home. Over the last decade or so the complex had become a problem property in the community. Drugs, vandalism, robbery, gang activity and other crime related issues have caused citizens of the community to fear and avoid the apartments. Located in the heart of the community
